Sarvodaya Goshala

Sarvodaya Goshala Charitable Trust Wardha, Maharashtra, was established in 2008 and registered under Mumbai Public Trust to keep view with a sense of community and social interest towards cattle, which are always useful to human beings like other family members. All the trustees who work with the selfless spirit for the Goshala are fond of cows and think similarly regarding the welfare of cows. For 12 years, everyone has been working tirelessly to serve and nurture cows. Goshala works are going on this assumption that the number of Indian cows should increase day by day and through them should be the welfare of the entire animal kingdom. Mr. Vasantbhai Panchabhai, the president of Trust, himself, was taking care of one hundred and fifty cows before starting the Gaushala. Today there are 467 cows in Gaushala and work is being done to conserve them and the number of these cows is increasing day by day.
The cow is not only a pet animal but its divine boon to man by nature. In Indian culture, the cow dynasty has an important place in social, economic, political, and spiritual fields. Cattle have played an important role in the economic progress of humans since ancient times. Vedic literature says that “GauSarvSukhprada“ means that the cow provides all happiness, wealth, and health to a man. Indian agriculture, health, sanitation, and environment have been dependent on cows for thousands of years. But it is being ignored at the present time, there is increasing disenchantment in the minds of people, which is useful in all ways, is part of the family, and has got mother’s place in India. In rural areas, cattle are the main source of livelihood even after agriculture. Cows are still important in many fields such as cow farming, organic manure, agricultural oxen, cow dung, and the medicinal use of cow urine. But in changing times, this mother (Gomata) is facing a crisis and it is time that she needs to be nurtured. In many trucks, bovines are filled and sent to the slaughterhouse for killing. Many wandering and domestic cows do not get fodder. Nature’s gift of cows is milk, but they are also beginning to be artificial. As a result, the number of cows is decreasing day by day. To change this drastic situation, SarvodayaGoshala / Panjrapol is working tirelessly and contributing to the development of society by preserving the services of cows. We are conducting acclivities i.e. Distribution of cow dung, distribution of bulls, distribution of milk cows, fodder production, plantation, water promotion, development of organic farming through Gaushalas.
